Currently in the process of rearranging the house, art included, and forgot that I never mentioned some screen prints purchased at last year’s East Lansing Art Festival.
As Vice Chair of the Downtown Development Authority, I had the honor—alongside the Chair of the East Lansing Arts Commission—of purchasing four pieces from that year’s People’s Choice Award winner. All four are now proudly displayed in government buildings. The fact that they were screen prints was an added bonus. It was a pleasure to talk shop with the winner, Arsenal Handicraft, and pick up a thing or two (or three or four or five—he’s immensely talented).
